Grand prize of €100k up for grabs in Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge - Ventureburn
Do you have a deep tech startup or project that uses advanced technology to answer a societal or industrial challenge?
Deep tech involves the use of hi-tech and engineering applications such as artificial intelligence (AI), data science and aeronautics.
Early-stage deep tech startups stand to win a €100 000 grand prize in the sixth edition of the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge.
The science and tech startup competition is designed specifically to address the needs of deep tech entrepreneurs across several different industries and technologies.
The challenge was created in 2013 by deep tech entrepreneurs Xavier Duportet and Arnaud De La Tour after the two realised that that the resources needed to propel emerging technologies were different from those of traditional web and mobile innovations.
The challenge gives scientists and deep tech entrepreneurs around the globe a platform for their research and projects, providing equity-free prize money as well as other funding opportunities, global visibility and connections with key players in the deep tech innovation network.
In addition to the €100 000 grand prize, 13 other startups who come out tops in each of the challenge’s tracks or verticals will each receive a €10 000 prize.
This year’s challenge is organised across 14 tracks or verticals.
These are: aeronautics, advanced computing and artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and communication, digital health and medical devices, drug discovery, energy, environment, food and agriculture, industrial biotech, industry 4.0, medical biotech, mobility, new space and smart cities.
Applications for the challenge close on 12 September, with the grand finals set to take place between 11 and 13 March in Paris during the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit.
