“I promise you, if we ever lose each other, it’ll be a tale like the great Gatsby” as he pointed to the movie playing behind them. “I’ll never forget you, I never want to lose you, and if I do, if you have someone else, I’ll still come back for you no matter what.” Tears just kept rolling down her face as she looked at him. “Stop. You’re making me so emotional, and it’s just not fair that you’ll ever have to leave me”. She paused and composed herself. “I don’t want us to be sad, I just want to spend this time with you, holding onto you.” He smiled as she spoke. How could he have ever been so stupid to be such a coward and never have started this earlier, why was it every damn time he wanted to pipe up and ask her, he just cut himself off and changed the topic. No matter what this moment was, it was just something that would just live with him forever. They sat back down on the couch.
